Zagreb is the Croatian cultural, educational, administrative and economic center. Moreover, it is well integrated into European cultural trends and offers a wide variety of exhibitions, shows and artistic experiences. The faculty of Zagreb University’s Academy of Fine Arts play a central role in the cultural and artistic life of the city, exhibiting at numerous individual and group events at Zagreb galleries and museums.

The students too, have the opportunity to regularly show their work at several downtown galleries, as well as at prestigious juried exhibitions, such as the annual national award-winning exhibition (Zagreb Salon) and the young artist's annual award-winning exhibition (Young Artists’ Salon). A public academic year assessment exhibition is mounted in Academy facilities at the end of each academic year. Student art is also presented to the public in several award-winning competitions founded by some Croatian companies.
